Welcome to Raider Rowing
Shaker Heights Crew is a high school novice and varsity rowing team for both men and women, rowing on the Cuyahoga River in Cleveland, Ohio. The teams train during the academic year, from fall head season through the Midwest Scholastic Rowing Championships in mid-May.
Shaker Heights Crew is a member of the The Foundry in the Flats on Columbus Road.
Shaker Heights Crew is supported by the Shaker Heights School District & SHHS Crew Parents, Inc.,a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Lynda Sax is the current President of SHHS Crew Parents and can be reached at raiderrowing@gmail.com for more information.
Schedules
Shaker Heights Rowing runs two competitive seasons - fall and spring - with optional winter conditioning and summer opportunities through our boathouse, The Foundry. The spring is our “main” competitive season, as it contains our regional and national championships. Rowing is a varsity sport at SHHS in the spring. Athletes may participate in only spring, or spring and fall.
Practice is after school at the Foundry, with bus transportation provided by SHHS. Transportation to all of our away regattas is also provided.
